Are you sure your antivirus is protecting you like it should?

Video Transcript:

"Welcome back. Let's chat a little bit about antivirus.
"With a lot of people still working from home, it's really important that you're checking your antivirus.
"So what you want to do is go down to the task bar or the start menu bar, all the way on the right, and look for the icon for your antivirus. Double click on it, let it pop up, look at it, look through it.
"Look at the logs. Make sure it's doing a daily scan. Make sure the real time scanner is enabled and make sure it's actually up to date. Antiviruses will still run and do scans, but they get definitions once or twice a day from whatever the product manufacturer is. So it downloads those updates, its database and then it has new things that it's scanning for.
"If that hasn't been done because you're working from home you could have six, eight, nine, ten month old definitions, and you're missing vulnerabilities that you're scanning for.
"You could be infected, so it's really important that your antivirus stays up to date. So check on that today, and also check with your I.T. to make sure that your system is being still updated and remotely monitored to keep it healthy and safe.
"That's it for this week. Talk to you next week."
