Do you know what your "attack surface" for cyber threats is in your company?

Video Transcript:

"Hey guys - welcome back. This week we're going to talk about the attack surface that you have with the employees and you working in your office.
"When it comes to cybersecurity, we talk about the attack surface or surface area that criminals can use to try and get into your organization.
"If you think of a table - the bigger the table, the more stuff you can put on it. My wife doesn't like me to have tables, because I like to keep a lot of stuff and it kind of drives her nuts.
"So when it comes to cybersecurity, the smaller the attack surface, the smaller the surface area, the less opportunity hackers have to get into your network.
"Your employees are actually one of the easiest exploited surfaces when it comes to cybersecurity. Social engineering training, which I've talked about in the past, is so important to go over and over and over again with your staff. Who should be calling in to help you with IT stuff? Who should you be calling to help with IT stuff? What emails should you be clicking on related to anything in your environment?
"Make sure that you're running phishing campaigns against your staff. There are services out there - we have them, other people have them, talk to your IT - get the services that send weekly tests to see if we can catch them. Not because we want to get them in trouble, because we want to help them understand what they look like. There's so many different phishing emails that look so real.
"This is the number one way hackers get into your network.
"So this week, see if you can - phish some people, and have a great week."
