Did you know that changing your password on a regular basis is no longer considered a best practice?

"Hey everybody, here we go - passwords.
"We talked about it a long time ago - let's revisit that, because passwords are critical.
"There's been a lot of variation in the industry on how long a password should be, how often you should change it, what you should do. The best practice is to actually no longer change your password, but to have a passphrase with a multi-factor authentication piece.
"What does that mean? Well when you go to log into your bank, sometimes they'll send you a text to your phone and it asks for a pin that your phone got in the text. You type that in - you get in.
"That's the multi-factor authentication piece. Most software today has the ability to have a multi-factor
component. What you can do is actually have an app on your phone that gives you that code and it updates itself every 30 to 45 seconds. The more multi-factor you have, the more secure you are, because if a hacker gets your password - great, but if they don't have your phone to get that code that's only good for 30 to 45 seconds then there's nothing they can do.
"So what we are recommending is that you: one - have a good passphrase instead of a password, and two - you enable multi-factor authentication on everything that you can.
